Talk about a Country you would like to visit

You should mention

Which Country you would like to visit

Why you want to go there

What you would expect to see

Without doubt I would like to visit Canada. I have wanted to go there for as long as I can remember. I have always had such a fascination for the place. If I think about it I suspect my interest is due mainly to my Father, you see before I was born he had the chance to emigrate to Canada. He was offered a job working for the Forestry Commission and how he would have loved that. He was all set to go and then suddenly my Mother decided that she couldn’t bear to be that far away from her Mother. So despite filling in numerous forms and successfully meeting all of the conditions needed to emigrate to Canada they stayed in England.

My Father rarely mentioned Canada to my Brother and I but I can tell he was very disappointed not to have gone. And I know that he was too much of gentleman to ever have mentioned it again to my Mother. Nevertheless I have often wondered what might have been had we gone. For a start I would have been born there and as a consequence I would have been the first natural Canadian in the family. But there again if things had worked out differently I would never have known my present Husband and I would be sorry about that. I guess I will have to content myself with dreams of what might have been and live with what I actually have.

I would like to go to Canada in the winter and in the summer. If I went in the winter it would be for the Christmas holidays. The reason I say this is because the festive season always reminds me of snow and there is plenty of snow in Canada around Christmas time. Snow makes everything look so clean, fresh and untouched which fits in with my idea of what Canada is like. I would also like to go in the summer time so that I could see the wild life. I am a member of a wolf sanctuary here in England and I often go and spend time with the wolves. So you can see I love wolves and to see them in the wild would be a very special memory for me. I also like bears and I have pictures of them on my walls at home so I would have to go during the summer months when they are not hibernating.

Another reason I would like to go to Canada is to see some of the many tribes of North American Indians. I have always felt an affinity with these proud people and I really don’t know why. Perhaps it is the way they seem to live in harmony with their surroundings or perhaps I just want to see if there is another way of looking at life.
